Roman was brought to Talbot Humane after his owner was unable to meet his high energy needs. They had another dog in the home who would guard items from Roman and pick fights. Sadly, that dog was smaller than Roman and when they engaged in a fight, Roman did hurt the other dog. He has done really well with female dogs. So well, that he has been used to help dog test and do play groups with our more dog selective females. The previous owner stated that Roman was housebroken but not crated. He knows sit and down, walks well on a leash, and loves belly rubs. He will play soccer and loves nothing more than to play with balls.
Roman needs a very specific home: one with an active household that is also willing to crate Roman when guests come over, as he is very particular about the people he likes near him. He should not have cats in the home or other small animals. He would do well with a female dog in the home for companionship.
