UNLEASHED for Talbot Humane is back! UNLEASHED is a charity running program which takes the most seasoned couch potato to the finish line of a half marathon in exchange for your work to raise funds for the animals and services of Talbot Humane. UNLEASHED has been an integral part of Talbot Humane since 2012. Raising more than $350,000 in the 13 training seasons and making countless friends, volunteers and memories in the process!
Last year we were gearing up to run the Frederick Half Marathon when COVID hit. We have so missed our friends and our coaches and alumni are ready to rock this training season!
Our non-competitive, fully supported training program is for everyone. The training method is run/walk/run, which is designed to build to the race distance quickly, prevent injury, and fit into busy lives. “The best part of this program is that it’s geared to get you off the couch and across the finish line of a 13.1-mile race in about 12 weeks,” says Head Coach, Amy Eutsey. “The program is so doable that many participants continue running as a regular form of fitness, challenging themselves to run more races or longer distances.”
This year’s chosen race is supporting a local race with a beautiful course! The Historic Drawbridge Half from Tilghman to St. Michaels on November 6, 2021!
