Yes, you read that correctly! Through the end of 2020 Talbot Humane will be offering $10 microchipping services to pets owners. The cost includes insertion and registration of the chip. “We just had an amazing reunion at the shelter,” shares Executive Director Patty Quimby “A skiddish chihuahua mix had been missing for more than 3 months. A Good Samaritan in Cambridge captured her and brought her to us. Because she was microchipped she and her owner were reunited.”
Quimby stresses the importance of microchipping as well as keeping the information current. “Talbot Humane registers our microchips for the owners to ensure it is completed, but be sure to update your phone number, address and email as they change. Without current information the chip is almost useless.” Quimby shares that this may be done online or with a quick phone call to the company.
